The Center for the Sociology of Innovation (CSI) is a research center of Mines ParisTech and CNRS (UMR 9217). The CSI is well known for developing Actor-Network Theory (ANT) which renewed Science and Technology studies. Today its research focuses on the development and the role of science and technology in society.

[December 2014 - January 2015] Permanent research position in Sociology of science, technology and innovation

As of January 1st, 2015, the Centre for sociology of innovation (CSI) will become a member of a new research organization, the Interdisciplinary institute on innovation (I3) gathering the five following research teams : the CRG  of the Ecole Polytechnique, the CERNA of Mines ParisTech, the CGS of Mines ParisTech, the Department of economics and social sciences of Télécom ParisTech and the CSI of Mines ParisTech.

i3 is associated to the CNRS: in order to support its development, the CNRS has allotted a research position to i3 on the theme of the ‘Sociology of sciences, technologies and innovation’ ; the candidate will be recruited through the CNRS 2015 competitive recruitment examination. The CSI or the SES will then have the opportunity to welcome a young researcher.
