REBASPINOFF Project.

The participants in the PICO project collaborated in the REBASPINOFF project which was financed by the PRIME Network of Excellence. PRIME centres on European policies for research and innovation. For further information on the PRIME Network of Excellence, please visit: http://www.prime-noe.org.
The main goal of the REBASPINOFF project was to achieve a better understanding of the diversity of research-based spin-offs. VICO Project.

Most of the participants in the PICO project also collaborate in the VICO project (7th Framework Programme) which moves beyond research-based spin-offs and focuses on the role of financing, in order to assess the impact of Venture Capital and Private Equity (VC/PE) financing on the economic performance of innovative entrepreneurial ventures in Europe. PROKNOW Project.

While an important question addressed in the PICO project relates to the impact of research based spin-offs on the firms with which they partner, the PROKNOW project (6th Framework Programme) investigates the impact of research-based spin-offs on public research organizations.
